Ruhewald

Ruhewald Schloss Tambach is a woodland burial provider in the Coburg region of Germany, offering a natural and dignified alternative to a traditional cemetery. Its burial area is located in the peaceful, naturally preserved woodland of Gersbacher Höhe in Weitramsdorf. The forest’s seasonal changes and quiet surroundings provide a place for remembrance and comfort for family and friends.

Visitors can select a final resting place among the trees, with a named marker available to identify the burial site. The setting accommodates families and individual choices, and personal memorial ceremonies can be arranged. Because the forest takes care of the natural surroundings, relatives do not need to maintain a grave, and the site highlights the absence of ongoing maintenance costs.

Ruhewald Schloss Tambach also offers guided visits, held on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 2 p.m. except on public holidays, or by appointment. These tours give interested people an opportunity to learn about woodland burial and explore the grounds.
