About Rui DaCruz
Rui DaCruz is a wedding photography and film studio based in Peso da Régua, in Portugal’s Douro region. Founded by photographer and filmmaker Rui DaCruz, the team has been telling people’s stories since 1993, combining documentary observation with an author-led creative approach. Its work is designed to capture genuine moments with a discreet presence, helping couples feel at ease rather than directing them into staged poses.
The studio offers tailored wedding projects that include photography and film, complete coverage by its Storytellers team, or photography or video on their own. Services can include cinematic wedding films, a Same Day Edit shown during the celebration, and timeless designed albums. The team also covers baptisms, wedding anniversaries and themed photo sessions.
Based in the Douro, Rui DaCruz works in Porto, Viseu and throughout Portugal, and has documented weddings abroad. The studio has received international recognition, including awards from Inspiration Photographers, and is recommended by APP Imagem.
