Meet Levi Heisinger, the space enthusiast who is changing the game at Alamogordo's Museum of Space History. As a 19-year-old with autism, Levi's passion for deep space and Mars is unparalleled. Visitors to the museum are treated to Levi's extensive knowledge of the red planet, constellations, and the Mars rover.
Starting as an intern, Levi's dedication and expertise led to a full-time position at the museum. Thanks to the support of the New Mexico Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, Levi has found his calling as a talented educator in the planetarium, crafting innovative teaching tools even for visually impaired students. Despite the challenges he faces due to autism, Levi's creativity shines through in his passion for music, languages, and teaching.
