About RUMarino
RUMarino is a pioneering and multidisciplinary project based at the University of Puerto Rico. It offers students a unique opportunity to delve into the realms of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The project competes in the prestigious International RoboSub Competition held in San Diego, CA and is co-sponsored by the US Office of Naval Research (ONR).
RUMarino focuses on the development of autonomous marine vehicles (AUVs) and aims to design and manufacture an autonomous underwater pirate-vehicle that can successfully complete competition tasks. The team consists of members from various fields of study, including engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, and Industrial) as well as business (Marketing and Human Relations). With a strong commitment to advancing technology and the theory and application of computers, RUMarino has become a leading branch in the areas of computer science, computing, and technology at the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez Campus.
