About Runda
Runda is a voluntary, non-partisan, non-profit, non-governmental association known as the Association of Independent Discographers - Regional Association of Independent Discographers. Their primary aim is to promote the interests of record companies and individuals who create music recordings and operate as independent record companies across the territories of Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Kosovo, and Northern Macedonia. Founded on October 15th, 2018, Runda was established by former members of Impala in the region, with the support of IMPALA - the European head organization of independent music companies and trade organizations.
Runda serves to represent the interests of its members, including independent discographers and producers of phonograms. They also strive to foster beneficial relationships with other associations worldwide. Runda actively advocates for the growth and protection of copyright and neighboring rights, combatting piracy, and developing the regional digital market by collaborating with leading global digital services.
They monitor collecting societies in the region and cooperate with them to ensure the best possible exercise of rights for their members. Additionally, Runda informs, educates, and trains members in various aspects of the record label business and the music industry. Notably, Runda promotes the regional recorded music market abroad through participation in music conferences and festivals.
Since 2019, Runda has organized the regional music conference RUNDA DIGITAL DAY, and in 2020, they established the first independent regional music award, RUNDA. As a member of IMPALA and WIN, Runda is well-positioned to make a significant impact in the music industry. With a dedicated managing board, supervisory board, and advisory board, Runda ensures comprehensive governance and effective representation of their members' interests.
Their commitment to supporting independent discographers and advancing the regional music market is admirable. Visit Runda's website to learn more about their initiatives, become a member, and engage with their vibrant community
