Run in Spirit

Run in Spirit Lyon is a community event built around accessible running and walking routes through notable, unusual, and spiritually significant places in Lyon. Its aim is to bring people together in a welcoming atmosphere, connecting physical activity with reflection on the unity of body, soul, and spirit. Inspired by the legacy of Saint Irenaeus, the event emphasizes sharing, conviviality, and participation rather than competition.

The annual program offers several distances for different ages and abilities. The 9-kilometre route is for runners, while the 6-kilometre option can be completed running or walking. A 3-kilometre family route welcomes children and participants with disabilities, with an adapted, relaxed format. Individuals and groups can register, and family pricing is available. The organizers also invite volunteers to assist with safety, course guidance, and event operations.

Run in Spirit Lyon provides an opportunity to explore the city together, with practical event support including bib collection, a start-area bag facility, and a buffet at the finish.
