Kelly W. Davis Running International is aimed at bringing global awareness to the ails of female genital mutilation. The foundation will strive to provide long term mentorship and counseling for the girls who have undergone FGM in the cultures that still embrace this practice. We also aim to provide safe haven for those in danger through partnership with government and private organizations. Success for us will be when every girl in the world has a fair chance to grow and thrive in dignity. Our goals: Educate the communities that embrace this rite of passage using the grass-root approach. Assist those who are putting pressure on governments to criminalize parents who subject their girls to this practice. Help in building safe houses for girls who run away to avoid this practice. Provide counseling for the victims of FGM.

About Running International
Running International is a brand dedicated to raising global awareness about the harmful practice of female genital mutilation (FGM). Our foundation is focused on providing long-term mentorship and counseling to girls who have undergone FGM in cultures that still embrace this practice. We also strive to create safe havens for those in danger through partnerships with government and private organizations.
Our ultimate goal is to ensure that every girl in the world has a fair chance to grow and thrive in dignity. To achieve this, we have outlined several key initiatives. Firstly, we aim to educate communities that still practice FGM using a grassroots approach.
Additionally, we support efforts to pressure governments to criminalize parents who subject their girls to this practice. We also assist in building safe houses for girls who run away to avoid FGM and provide counseling for the victims. In addition to our work on FGM, we have launched the Running Free Mental Health Initiative.
This initiative aims to provide free counseling and therapy sessions to young boys and girls in Kenyan schools that lack access to licensed therapists or counselors. We have partnered with the Satir Marriage and Family Institute of Africa for this initiative, ensuring that the therapy sessions are conducted by exceptional student interns pursuing their Master's and Ph. D.
At Running International, we are committed to making a positive and lasting impact on vulnerable communities worldwide. We have funded secondary education and provided necessary supplies like sanitary pads to girls in need. We have also participated in infrastructure projects, such as building a bus shelter in Wichita, Kansas, in partnership with Wichita Transit.
Founded by Kelly W. Davis, a Kenyan-American journalist based in Atlanta, Georgia, our organization stems from her personal journey as Miss Kenya 2014. Kelly holds a master's degree in journalism from Columbia University and a bachelor's degree in communication and African American studies from UCLA.
