The Casper Marathon, established around 2002 by the local running group Windy City Striders, has quickly become Wyoming's premier running event. This annual marathon, traditionally held on the first Sunday in June, has expanded to include various race distances such as a 10K, Half Marathon, Full Marathon Relay, and the iconic Full Marathon.
