Ruotsalon kalastusseura

Ruotsalon Kalastusseura is a Finnish fishing association that has been active since 1931. Its aim is to maintain healthy fish stocks in its local waters, including by stocking vendace and other species when needed. The association serves local anglers with information about fishing regulations, its fishing area, membership and permits.

Anglers can apply for membership or purchase recreational, summer-cottage, monthly and weekly permits. Depending on the permit, fishing may include nets, fish traps and trolling; members may fish for the cost of the membership fee. The association’s waters support species including perch, pike, vendace, bream, salmon, whitefish and trout. Anglers must follow national fishing laws as well as local restrictions, including protected areas and size limits. Membership is limited to residents of Kälviä and Ullava, and applications are approved at the association’s general meeting.

Members can use the association’s ice machine, with further information available from the chairperson. The Paskalaaka cabin is also available to rent.
