Ruoveden Kanoottipurjehtijat

Ruoveden Kanoottipurjehtijat ry is a Finnish paddling association and the country’s oldest continuously active Finnish-language paddling club. Founded on 13 July 1930 and entered in the association register in 1932, it brings together people interested in recreational, touring and competitive paddling. During the paddling season, members take part in local outings and regular Monday group paddles. The club also arranges day trips and longer excursions, creating opportunities to explore nearby waterways together.

For newcomers, the association offers a Meloja 1 introductory course, scheduled for 6–7 June 2026, and activities for young paddlers. Members can use the club’s extensive paddling equipment for a fee. The association also provides information about membership, fees, rules and guidance, and invites members to join a WhatsApp group for Monday paddling.

In winter, activities include ice-swimming sauna sessions at Pihlapirtti on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The Pihlapirtti venue and sauna are also available to reserve. Ruoveden Kanoottipurjehtijat supports paddling throughout the year through shared activities, instruction and facilities.
