RuralCancer. org is a Minnesota-based non-profit 501(c)(3) organization committed to improving cancer care in rural communities. Established in May 2022, our mission is to address the unique challenges of rural cancer treatment and oncology services.

We provide support to rural cancer patients, promote research in rural oncology, advocate for effective cancer care policies, and raise awareness about the specific needs of cancer patients in rural areas. Our goal is to ensure that rural cancer care advances hand-in-hand with the latest developments in oncology, bringing hope and healing to every corner of rural America. Our founding team, including Dr.

Wade Swenson, Emily Westergard, Abby Swenson, Zack Schroeder, and other passionate professionals, recognized the significant gap in rural oncology services and cancer treatment in non-urban settings.
