Rural Health Compass

Rural Health Compass is a UK-registered organisation focused on improving health and wellbeing in rural communities across Europe. Its mission is to amplify rural voices and support equitable access to healthcare, social care and other essential services through collaboration, knowledge sharing and advocacy. The organisation works to address the urban-centred assumptions in policy and practice that can overlook the realities of rural, remote and coastal populations, including long travel distances, limited local services and infrastructure gaps.

Rural Health Compass offers resources and activities that connect communities, professionals and policymakers. These include the Rural Health Equity Chat, a free online community for discussion and shared learning; reports and events exploring rural health challenges; and opportunities to contribute local case studies. Its Rural Road to Health podcast features conversations about rural health, careers, communities and innovation. The organisation is also developing policy advocacy training for rural clinicians, community groups and organisations, and offers discovery calls for those interested in its support.
