**Rural Rising Philippines (RuRi)** is a non-profit grassroots initiative dedicated to uplifting Filipino farmers and fostering rural prosperity. At the heart of RuRi's mission is the “Rescue Buys” program, which addresses overproduction by purchasing surplus fruits and vegetables directly from farmers at above-market prices. These products are then offered to members at affordable rates, ensuring that both farmers and consumers benefit. Any unclaimed produce within 48 hours is donated to food-insecure communities in the National Capital Region, with a strong commitment to minimizing waste.

RuRi operates a Vegetable Rescue Center in Baguio City and has three distribution hubs in Metro Manila, facilitating weekly rescue operations throughout the country. Through innovative projects like vegetable tramlines, water conservation initiatives, and community libraries, RuRi is invested in empowering farmers and promoting sustainable practices.
