RUWAI recognizes the interconnectedness of poverty, resource depletion, and the climate crisis. They promote ecological land practices and create sustainable livelihoods by implementing scientific and indigenous knowledge.

Led by executive director Uche Isieke, RUWAI's team, including staff, volunteers, and an expert advisory council, works on the ground to bring about genuine and lasting change. Founded in 2016, RUWAI is dedicated to lifting marginalized families and communities from the cycle of poverty and resource depletion. Their approach goes beyond providing handouts; they focus on positive engagement, education, and job training to empower individuals to create their own future.
