About Russian Club in Hong Kong
Русский Клуб в Гонконге is an organization that brings together compatriots from the former Soviet Union countries and anyone interested in Russian language and culture. Founded in 1998 by actress Nelly Nielsen, the club aims to foster connections and promote Russian culture among the residents of Hong Kong through a multitude of events. It received official registration as a non-profit organization in 2009.
The club's main objectives include helping compatriots assimilate in Hong Kong, representing Russian culture in the multicultural environment, and preserving cultural identity among the Russian community. The club also places special emphasis on child education and the development of the Russian language. With a dedicated board of directors, including members like Yulia Potceluyko, Marina Hoyle, Anna Neklyudova, Lana Lyu, and Ekaterina Woodham, the club continues to make a positive impact within the community
