Welcome to the Parish of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God in Cardiff, Wales. Our community is part of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia (ROCOR) and belongs to the Diocese of Great Britain and Western Europe. We are a diverse and inclusive congregation, consisting of Orthodox Slavs and British people, who strive to live our spiritual lives in accordance with the rich traditions of the Russian Orthodox Church.

At our parish, we offer services in Church Slavonic and English, following the traditions of the pre-revolutionary Russian Orthodox Church and the Patristic Julian calendar. We extend a warm welcome to everyone who wishes to join us for worship and invite newcomers to stay and engage in conversations with our clergy and parishioners. After services, we invite visitors to enjoy refreshments provided by our parish sisterhood.

Our Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia functions as an autonomous local Church within the Moscow Patriarchate. We have our own First-Hierarch and synod of bishops, and Bishop Irenei of London and Western Europe serves a range of countries, including the United Kingdom.

Established eleven years ago, our Cardiff parish currently conducts services at Nazareth House Church in Cathays. We also hold weekday festal Liturgies and host a discussion group at St. Mary the Virgin, Butetown. Additionally, St. John's in Canton celebrates some of our feasts.

Children are also an integral part of our community and are encouraged to participate in our services.
