Ruth Ander is an artist, printmaker and teacher based in the South West of England. Inspired by landscapes in the region and beyond, she creates original works that explore nature, light, texture and translucency. Her practice combines techniques including drypoint etching, collage, drawing and monoprinting, bringing together varied influences in distinctive works on paper. Original artwork is available to buy directly from Ruth and can be delivered to customers’ homes.

Ruth also helps people discover and develop printmaking through online courses, workshops and free educational resources. Her video courses introduce accessible hand-printing techniques that can be practised at home without a bulky printing press. Hand Printing Happiness is an eight-week, self-paced course covering the journey from setting up a home studio to creating finished artwork, with lifetime access, a supportive online community and online Q&A.
