About Rutherford Volunteer First-Aid Ambulance Corps.
The Rutherford First Aid-Ambulance Corps (RFAAC) is a volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to providing 24-hour Emergency Medical Care services to the Borough of Rutherford, New Jersey, and neighboring towns. Our team of 45 dedicated volunteers, licensed as Emergency Medical Technicians, offers immediate pre-hospital care to critically ill and injured individuals, ensuring their safe transport to local hospitals. We respond to approximately 1,400 calls per year, providing emergency care at no charge to our patients.
To continue our life-saving efforts, we rely on the generous contributions from the public. As the RFAAC receives no support from the municipal government, we fund our operations solely through donations. Each February, we conduct a fund drive, seeking tax-deductible donations from residents and businesses who value our services.
