Ruumi Labs

Ruumi Labs is a research center dedicated to helping individuals preserve personal histories and family knowledge securely and locally. Its vision centers on decentralizing the record of a person’s life: stories, lived moments, intimate artifacts, learned expertise, practical skills, and truths that can be supported by verifiable digital evidence. The aim is to make these memories accessible and useful to future generations, allowing grandchildren and other family members to explore, query, and preserve what earlier generations learned through experience.

The organization also emphasizes protecting family wisdom from being lost or rewritten after its keepers are gone. By pairing personal knowledge with evidence, Ruumi Labs seeks to support continuity across generations and help families retain a trusted account of their histories. Its guiding idea, expressed as “building your cathedral of memory,” presents memory preservation as a lasting, carefully constructed endeavor.
