The Ruby Valley Conservation District (RVCD) is dedicated to protecting land and preserving the watershed in Montana. Established in 1939 as one of the state's 58 conservation districts, RVCD arose from a nationwide movement to address natural resource concerns, particularly in the aftermath of the Dust Bowl. Guided by a committed board of directors, RVCD addresses a variety of environmental issues, offering crucial services such as 310 Permits, education on conservation practices, and comprehensive resource assessments including groundwater and wetland mapping.
