Rogue Valley Genealogical Society

The Rogue Valley Genealogical Society (RVGS) is a volunteer-run organization based in Medford, Oregon, dedicated to helping people explore family and local history. Its library is open Monday through Saturday and offers access to more than 25,000 books and other media, along with thousands of searchable genealogical records. Researchers can explore collections covering cemeteries, church records, court documents, maps and land records, obituaries, periodicals, pioneer and family histories, school records, and vital records.

RVGS supports family-history research through its library catalog, online research resources, genealogy coaching, research services, and photo restoration. It also offers a Pioneer Certificate Program and cemetery projects. The society organizes classes, seminars, free educational programs, special interest groups, and community events, including a German Interest Group and genealogy discussions. Members can access selected subscription research websites and genealogy publications, with some resources available only at the library. RVGS publishes a monthly e-newsletter and The Rogue Digger, and welcomes members, donations, and volunteers to help sustain its collections and programming.
