Established in 1975, the club brings together riders of different ages and experience levels around a shared enthusiasm for horses, sport and community. Its activities cover dressage, show jumping, leisure riding and vaulting. Dressage training emphasizes balance, precision and communication between horse and rider, while jumping develops technique, rhythm and confidence over obstacles.

Leisure riders can enjoy relaxed riding, outings and groundwork, and the vaulting division offers team-based gymnastics on horseback, from introductory activities to more advanced routines. Gut Birkenhof provides the club’s home and training setting, with stables, pastures, an indoor arena and outdoor riding areas supporting its different disciplines.

Members value both sporting development and a welcoming atmosphere, with people and families participating across generations. Led by an elected board, Reiterverein Kurtscheid combines a long-standing tradition with an active, inclusive approach to equestrian life
