About Rwanda Women's Network
Rwanda Women's Network (RWN) is a dynamic organization founded by Mary Balikungeri, dedicated to empowering and supporting women in Rwanda. With a focus on gender-based violence prevention and support, RWN aims to create safe spaces for women who have experienced trauma. By offering financial education and leadership skill development, RWN helps women heal and transform their pain into independent and influential leadership.
Mary Balikungeri, the Director of RWN, is a passionate advocate for women's rights and has empowered thousands of women to break the cycle of violence. RWN also works on advocacy at both the local and national level, collaborating with authorities and community facilitators to eradicate gender-based violence. In addition, Mary's international activism has pushed for policy changes and improved women's human rights on various platforms.
