Rybáři Měřín

Rybáři Měřín z.s. is a fishing association in Měřín and a local branch of the Moravian Anglers Union. The group brings together people interested in sport fishing and caring for nature, while encouraging both children and adults to develop an appreciation for fishing. It maintains several local ponds, including the four-hectare Nový Pond, which is used for sport fishing, as well as waters in Měřín and nearby villages.

The association organizes fishing competitions and community events throughout the year. Its program includes competitions for children, the Kapří pětka events, a pairs competition known as Cejnobraní, and a 24-hour fishing competition for young participants. The group also shares competition results, photographs, catch reports, and information about upcoming activities.

People can find details about fishing waters, permits, events, and membership through the association’s website. Membership is currently full, although children under 15 can apply to join its fishing club. Based in Měřín, Rybáři Měřín combines recreational fishing, youth activities, and local stewardship of its ponds.
