Ryde Carnival

Ryde Carnival is one of the UK's oldest and most cherished festivals, with roots tracing back to 1888. This vibrant event is organized by dedicated volunteers, showcasing a series of fun-filled activities including the Children's Carnival Day, the Main Carnival, and the dazzling Illuminated Carnival. Each year, thousands gather to partake in the celebrations, scheduled for specific dates in August, offering both locals and visitors an opportunity to enjoy a traditional carnival atmosphere.

The Children's Carnival Day features creative entries and performances, culminating in a joyful day of festivities. The Main Carnival and Illuminated Carnival attract larger crowds, with colorful parades that light up the night sky, creating a magical experience. Ryde Carnival is not just an event; it’s a community affair, with opportunities for volunteering, sponsorship, and participation. With a commitment to acting in the spirit of community, Ryde Carnival also runs a grant scheme to support local projects.
