Ryft is a data management platform designed to keep Apache Iceberg lakehouses efficient, governed and ready for AI and machine-learning workloads. The company says it has been acquired by Cyera. Ryft connects to existing catalogs, query engines and storage without requiring migration or code rewrites, then monitors how data is ingested and accessed to optimize tables automatically.

The platform adjusts compaction, data layout and maintenance to actual usage patterns, helping reduce manual upkeep, storage costs and query times. It supports batch, streaming and change data capture workloads, multiple query engines, and environments ranging from megabytes to petabytes and thousands of tables. Ryft also provides retention and tiering policies, automated compliance cleanup, and deletion of personal data across table records, snapshots, backups and orphan files. Backup and disaster recovery features help teams restore or roll back tables. With visibility into ingestion, queries and schema changes, Ryft aims to make lakehouse operations more reliable and scalable, while offering a single governed data lake that teams and AI agents can access using their preferred tools.
