Rygestopkonsulenterne

Rygestopkonsulenterne is a nationwide Danish consultancy specializing in smoking cessation. Since 2002, the company has supported more than 30,000 smokers through cessation programs delivered in workplaces and in municipal settings. Its approach is respectful and supportive, avoiding scare campaigns and judgment. Instead, its distinctive program draws on current knowledge about addiction, motivation, and coaching, with the aim of helping participants achieve lasting smoke-free lives.

The company offers workplace smoking-cessation courses, advice on smoking policies and smoke-free working hours, and introductory sessions for organizations. Municipalities can access courses, consultant support, licensing agreements, and tailored cessation initiatives, including services for specific groups. Rygestopkonsulenterne also provides training for health professionals, including a smoking-cessation consultant qualification and short courses on practical approaches to quitting. Its website reports that 93 percent of participants were smoke-free at course completion and 67 percent remained smoke-free after six months, based on company data for 2025. For individuals seeking help, it directs residents to Denmark’s Stoplinjen telephone counseling service.
