Kazariya Ryo is a Kyoto-based silver craft brand born from Chikuedo, a metalworking workshop with more than 200 years of history in decorative metalwork. The name Ryo refers to high-quality silver, and the brand focuses on pure silver, with each piece carefully made by hand. Drawing on traditional techniques such as carving, hammering and polishing, its young craftspeople create objects that reflect silver’s understated beauty and develop a distinctive patina with time.

The collection includes jewelry such as necklaces, earrings, rings, bracelets and brooches, alongside traditional Japanese accessories including hair ornaments and obi decorations. Kazariya Ryo also offers decorative charms and household and stationery items, from bells and incense holders to bookmarks, paper knives, drinking cups and shoehorns. Near Kyoto’s Nishiki Market, the brand’s shop and workshop are housed in a traditional townhouse. Visitors can explore the workshop and take part in metal engraving experiences, offering an opportunity to encounter the craft and character of silver firsthand.
