The Japan College of Rheumatology (JCR) is a nonprofit academic organization dedicated to advancing research into rheumatic diseases and improving their diagnosis and care. After operating for decades as a voluntary academic society, it became a limited-liability intermediary corporation in 2003 and established its current general incorporated association in 2009. JCR supports professionals and the wider community through a broad range of educational, research, publishing, and information services.

Its activities include annual and regional scientific meetings, educational courses, international workshops, and training programs for early-career physicians and researchers. The organization also provides research ethics e-learning, statistical analysis support, and clinical research training. For members, it offers resources related to specialist certification, professional development, and educational facilities. JCR publishes Modern Rheumatology, Modern Rheumatology Case Reports, and other newsletters and materials, and makes medical information and clinical guidelines available on conditions including rheumatoid arthritis, childhood rheumatic diseases, lupus, vasculitis, and Sjögren’s disease.
