Rhein-Zeitung Trauer is an online memorial and bereavement service connected with the Rhein-Zeitung and its regional editions. The portal helps readers find and share funeral notices, obituaries, thank-you announcements, memorials, and anniversary tributes from across the region. Visitors can search by publication, location, notice type, and date, browse recent or frequently viewed tributes, and receive notices by email.

Individuals, families, companies, and associations can create and submit funeral announcements through an online system, with options to design, print, and publish notices. The service also offers memorial pages, including extensions and video tributes, as well as ways to express condolences and remember loved ones. For people dealing with bereavement, the site provides practical guides on what to do after a death, funeral arrangements, burial options, wills and estates, condolence messages, and advance planning.

Its support resources include a live bereavement chat, a helpline, expert advice, and videos. A regional directory connects users with funeral homes, grief support, florists, stonemasons, cemeteries, and other relevant services
