Sääksisäätiö

Sääksisäätiö, also known as the Finnish Osprey Foundation, is a non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of raptors in Finland. The foundation focuses on promoting the protection, monitoring, and research of these majestic birds, which play a critical role in the ecosystem as apex predators. Through collaboration with over 300 raptor ringers and numerous volunteers, Sääksisäätiö ensures that knowledge about raptors is continuously updated and shared.

In addition to its conservation efforts, Sääksisäätiö operates the Sääksikeskus (Osprey Center) in Kangasala, which offers facilities such as a café and gift shop, where visitors can learn more about these birds. The foundation also provides photography opportunities, including nest cameras that allow enthusiasts to observe raptors in their natural habitat. Committed to fostering biodiversity, Sääksisäätiö invites public support through donations to further their mission of preserving raptors and their habitats for future generations.
