SAAM Restaurant

SAAM Restaurant brings Dutch gastronomy together with South African influences, creating a dining experience centered on connection, thoughtful cooking and genuine hospitality. Located on Amstelzijde in Amstelveen, the restaurant serves refined dishes and distinctive wines in an intimate setting. Its main dining room accommodates 42 guests, including a Chef’s Table for up to 10. Upstairs, the SAAM Bar welcomes up to 20 guests for wine and dinner experiences or private dining.

In the kitchen, chef Jasper Hermans and his team combine local, seasonal produce with South African flavors and ingredients. The Spyskaart menu emphasizes pure, traceable products, sustainability and balance while maintaining a gastronomic approach. Maître-sommelier Bjorn van Aalst leads the service team, bringing personal attention and carefully considered food-and-wine pairings to the experience. A certified SVH Meestergastheer, he was named Host of the Year 2026 by Gault&Millau.
