SAAMA Aviación is a Chilean aviation company based at Panguilemo Aerodrome in Talca, specializing in professional services for combating forest fires. It describes its team as a family of aerial firefighters, united by the goal of fighting wildfires with precision and quality. The company operates a fleet of modern turboprop Air Tractor AT-802 aircraft for its fire-response work.
Its capabilities also include aircraft maintenance, supported by an in-house maintenance center authorized by Chile’s Directorate General of Civil Aeronautics and Spain’s aviation authority, EASA. SAAMA Aviación says its professionals contribute expertise in maintenance, training and operational work related to wildfire fighting. The company also highlights certified quality management through SMS and ISO 9001.
