About SAATH
SAATH, meaning "Support" & "Togetherness" in Nepali, was founded by eleven students with backgrounds in social work to assist women and children affected by HIV & AIDS. This initiative evolved into a voluntary organization focusing on youth-based projects addressing marginalized communities’ issues such as HIV/AIDS, drug use, child rights, LGBTI rights, and elderly care. Since 2012, SAATH has dedicated its efforts to education, socialization, capacity building, and livelihood support for marginalized girls and children.
Additionally, they conduct awareness projects and advocacy activities. Recognized by the Kathmandu District Administration office and the Social Welfare Council, SAATH collaborates with various individuals, groups, and organizations to provide essential support to those in need. Located in Patan, Kathmandu, Nepal, SAATH strives to make a positive impact by working together with the community since 2006.
