SAC Sektion Randen is a regional section of the Swiss Alpine Club, bringing together around 1,200 members from the Canton of Schaffhausen and nearby areas. Founded in 1886, the politically and religiously neutral association is open to people who enjoy the mountains. Its activities include summer and winter tours, weekday outings, family mountaineering and youth programs, with tour suggestions and reports available to members and visitors.

The section also maintains two mountain huts. Martinsmad Hut, at 2,002 metres above Elm in the Glarus region, is a base for mountain hikes and climbing in the surrounding peaks, as well as a destination for hut walks and family visits. Its hut wardens provide meals and hospitality.

Hasenbuck Hut, at 811 metres on the Randen, sits within a nature reserve known for its woodland and diverse plant life. It is staffed on weekends and public holidays, serving drinks and homemade soup on Sundays from noon. The section also shares environmental initiatives, hut information and club news
