Schroeder Ambulatory Centre is a non-profit, community-based healthcare facility in Ontario, established to improve access to quality care and strengthen the province’s public health system. It works with public hospitals and other healthcare partners to provide OHIP-covered outpatient procedures, helping reduce wait times and allowing hospitals to focus on more complex care. The Centre’s services include specialized clinics in audiology, gastroenterology, geriatrics and internal medicine, neurology, orthopedics, ear, nose and throat care, pain management, plastic surgery, primary care, urology and wound care.

Its surgical services include gastrointestinal endoscopy, hip replacement and knee replacement, while diagnostic imaging includes CT, MRI, X-ray and ultrasound. Patients can access appointments, patient resources and a portal, and healthcare providers can refer patients to the Centre’s services. Schroeder Ambulatory Centre also collaborates with hospitals and educational institutions to build healthcare capacity and train nurses and medical technicians.

Its facility was funded through philanthropy, and revenue is reinvested in improving access to healthcare for Ontarians
