Sacred Openings

Sacred Openings is a doula and perinatal herbalism practice founded by Kayla Brookins, offering compassionate, personalized support to pregnant people and their families. The practice serves families in Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, New York, and Connecticut, with care centered on informed choice and the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects of the childbearing journey.

Services include prenatal guidance and education, continuous labor and birth support, and postpartum care. Support is tailored to each family and may include partner guidance, help processing previous birth experiences, assistance with infant care and breastfeeding, meals, sibling integration, and overnight care to help parents rest. Sacred Openings also offers ceremonies and rituals, including Blessingways, Closing of the Bones ceremonies, and placenta ceremonies.

As a perinatal herbalist, Kayla creates herbal teas and body products intended to support fertility, pregnancy, and postpartum wellbeing. The practice also shares recommendations for other perinatal practitioners, including lactation, pelvic floor, and nutrition professionals. Sacred Openings aims to help families feel supported, informed, and confident through birth and the transition into parenthood.
