About Saddleback Cellars
Saddleback Cellars is a family-welcoming winery in Napa Valley’s Oakville District, founded in 1978 by acclaimed winemaker Nils Venge. Known as the “King of Cab,” Venge became the first American winemaker to receive a 100-point score from wine critic Robert Parker, for his 1985 Reserve Cabernet. The winery’s Cabernet wines continue to earn reviews of 90 points or higher.
Located on Money Road near Oakville Crossroad, Saddleback produces Cabernet from its 14-acre estate and makes additional distinctive varietals using grapes from selected vineyards throughout Wine Country. Its small-lot, handcrafted range includes Charbono, Vermentino, Tannat, Petit Verdot and unique blends. Visitors can experience the wines through tastings at the winery, whose quiet Napa Valley setting is accessible from Silverado Trail and Highway 29.
Saddleback also offers wine club memberships, with acclaimed wines shipped to members at home and customizable shipments. Customers can explore and purchase wines through the winery’s online shop, while visitors can learn more about the vineyard and plan a visit through the website.
