SADEL is a non-profit corporation dedicated to the collective management and protection of the rights of authors and publishers. Under the protection of the Intellectual Property Law No. 17.

336, SADEL works to manage the rights to their works, specifically in the areas of photocopying, digitalization, database storage, reproduction, and public communication. Aspiring writers, authors, and publishers are invited to become part of SADEL through affiliation, which is free. By granting a representation mandate, SADEL can collectively represent the intellectual property of its authors, authors, and publishers.

This allows SADEL to issue licenses to educational institutions, allowing them to photocopy or digitize up to 15% of each book in exchange for fair remuneration, which is then distributed among the authors and publishers. Administrative costs are covered by a small percentage of the revenue, determined by the authors and publishers themselves in accordance with the Intellectual Property Law. SADEL also welcomes heirs, legatees, and successors of authors.
