Safari Chiller

Safari Chiller is a South African brand of handmade insulated chillers, available since 1990. Originally designed and developed by Greg Gardener of Port Elizabeth for local anglers, the company was sold to The KingFisher in 2007. The Roseveare family later joined as partners, and the chillers are now manufactured by a team at Happy Valley Farm in Thornville.

The range includes Fisherman Lid Chillers, Light Chillers, fibreglass-lid models, and larger chillers suited to hunting and camping. Fisherman Lid sizes run from 4 to 25 litres, while larger fibreglass-lid options are available in 38, 45, 60, and 85 litres. The nylon Fisherman Lid offers a flat, durable bait-preparation surface, and the company reports that its seal provides temperature control comparable to fibreglass lids. Light Chillers are up to 50% lighter than other models and feature high-density foam, fibreglass coating, reinforced handles, and EVA foam grips. Larger models include stainless steel hinges, clips, and handles. Safari Chiller focuses on improving insulation, durability, and practical design for anglers and outdoor users.
