Safe2Tell is a 24/7 anonymous reporting system run by the Colorado Attorney General’s Office. It gives students, families, school communities, and concerned residents a way to report threats and safety concerns without fear, helping connect people who may need support with appropriate responders. Reports can be made any time by calling 877-542-7233, submitting the online form, using the mobile app, or texting S2TCO to 738477.

Safe2Tell sends reports to appropriate school and/or law enforcement officials, then verifies that the report was received and addressed. Reporters are encouraged to watch for follow-up questions, since additional information can help guide a response. The organization also serves schools and community partners with resources such as videos, posters, presentations, and training materials that encourage people to speak up.

Safe2Tell works with local law enforcement, school resource officers, and emergency responders on critical reports, while supporting early intervention to help protect young people and communities. It emphasizes that it will never contact students by phone, email, or text to request information
