ICSA is the Independent Carrier Safety Association, a non-profit organization established in 2019 with the goal of improving highway safety for small, independent motor carriers. Their mission is to provide these carriers with access to tools and resources that are typically only available to larger fleets, helping them achieve the common goal of making the highways safer. ICSA offers two membership categories, Platinum and Gold, with various benefits for each.

Platinum members enjoy cost-effective insurance coverage, reduced pricing on event recorders, state-of-the-art hair testing for substance abuse prevention, education and a voice in the industry, a no-cost Model Safety Plan, and access to a comprehensive online driver training curriculum known as FirstGear. Gold members have access to the same safety products, consulting, technology, training, and information services as Platinum members but do not have insurance coverage. However, Gold members can upgrade to Platinum membership to apply for insurance coverage if desired.

Through their collective buying power and approved vendors, ICSA provides these services at reduced costs or no cost, making them accessible to single-truck operators and small fleets
