Safe Families Canada is a faith-based charity dedicated to supporting families in crisis while ensuring the safety and welfare of children. Aiming to prevent child neglect and abuse, Safe Families offers a unique model where parents can voluntarily place their children with Host Families during emergencies, allowing them to retain custody. This initiative is crucial for families facing financial struggles, mental health issues, or other challenges, especially in urban settings where traditional support systems may be lacking.

With volunteer-driven efforts inspired by compassion and mercy, Safe Families Canada engages a wide network of volunteers from various communities, including schools, hospitals, and local churches, to provide temporary care and emotional support. Since its establishment in 2011, Safe Families has expanded across multiple provinces, aiming to reach more than 300,000 vulnerable children in Canada. The organization continuously works to strengthen local community support by establishing new chapters and fostering collaboration with churches, thereby enhancing their outreach and impact in preventing child welfare crises.
