SafeGuard Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Safeguard Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (Safeguard BJJ) is a martial arts academy in Temple, Texas, and an affiliate of Carlos Machado Jiu-Jitsu. Founded and led by instructor Elias Aurelio, a brown belt under Master Carlos Machado, the academy offers structured, beginner-friendly Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes for children, teens, and adults. Its welcoming training environment prioritizes safety, patient coaching, and clear progression, helping students build confidence and practical skills without pressure or ego.

Programs are organized by age: Minis for children ages 3–6, Kids for ages 7–12, and Teen & Adult classes for ages 13 and up. Lessons use age-appropriate instruction to develop coordination, focus, discipline, fitness, self-defense, and anti-bullying skills. Fundamentals classes provide a guided path for people with no prior experience, while small-group attention helps students progress at a comfortable pace. Classes run Monday through Thursday, with separate evening times for each age group. The academy offers a free introductory class, then charges $75 bi-weekly per student, with no enrollment fees or long-term contracts.
