About SafeHouse Denver
SafeHouse Denver is a reputable brand that has been providing a comprehensive range of trauma-informed care to adults, children, and youth experiencing domestic violence since its establishment in 1977. As the only agency in the City and County of Denver offering such services, SafeHouse Denver plays a crucial role in eliminating domestic violence from communities. Their efforts include providing shelter and counseling to survivors of abuse, collaborating with public and community agencies to improve responses to domestic violence, and offering educational programs to prevent future violence.
Initially started as a 16-bed shelter for women and their children, SafeHouse Denver has grown to accommodate 30 beds plus cribs, serving over 250 adults and children annually. In addition to the shelter, they also provide non-residential services that include individual counseling, advocacy support groups, and referrals to other services. SafeHouse Denver is dedicated to helping adults, children, and youth reclaim their right to live free from domestic violence.
Their goals include empowering survivors, preventing domestic violence through education, and fostering a violence-free community. By supporting SafeHouse Denver, you contribute to a safe environment for survivors with free shelter, advocacy, and resources
