SafeLease

SafeLease is an insurance and technology provider focused on self-storage operators, helping facilities protect tenants, manage risk, and grow revenue. Its services combine tenant protection programs with commercial property and casualty insurance designed for storage businesses. Operators can automatically enroll tenants in coverage, with flexible options and premiums collected directly from tenants. SafeLease also offers in-house claims handling and integration with facility management systems; the company reports enrollment rates of 80% to 90% within 30 days for facilities using AutoProtect.

For facility owners, SafeLease provides property and general liability coverage, limits of up to $20 million per location, customizable deductibles, flexible payment terms, and potential bundling discounts. The company says its policies can cost 15% to 20% less than alternatives. Additional services include reputation management to support customer trust and occupancy, plus tools for monitoring performance across properties. SafeLease reports protecting more than 4,000 facilities and covering $2 billion in property.
