The Fencing Federation of South Africa (FFSA) is the official governing body for the sport of fencing in South Africa, having achieved Non-Profit Organization (NPO) status on February 15, 2023. With an affiliation to the South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee (SASOC), FFSA is dedicated to promoting and enhancing the sport across the nation.

FFSA organizes national competitions that assess rankings and serve as criteria for the selection of fencers for continental and international events. The federation hosts events in three age categories: Cadets (U17), Juniors (U20), and Seniors, covering all major fencing disciplines—Epee, Foil, and Sabre. Notably, two South African National Championship events are held annually: one for Senior fencers and another for Juniors featuring younger age groups (U11, U13, and U15), providing a platform for emerging talent.

For those interested in starting their fencing journey, FFSA encourages visiting local clubs through provincial pages to get involved in this dynamic sport.
