**Brand Description: Maternal Health Fair**
The Maternal Health Fair is a vital initiative dedicated to empowering Black birthing individuals and promoting safer birthing experiences. Scheduled from April 11th to 17th, this virtual event features a series of over ten free online workshops led by expert advocates, clinicians, and thought leaders from across the United States. Topics covered range from preeclampsia and perinatal mental health to birthing options and dental health, ensuring a comprehensive educational experience.
In collaboration with organizations such as the Coalition for Safe Motherhood, the Dr. Shalon (Irving) Motherhood Action Project, Melinated Moms, and the Birthing the Magic Collaborative, the fair aims to address communication gaps in healthcare that can adversely affect outcomes. By providing essential tools and knowledge, participants are empowered to make informed decisions and advocate for their own health and rights throughout pregnancy and childbirth.
