Safer Farms is a membership organization dedicated to making farms safer places to work and live. They bring together farmers, CEOs, and senior leaders from agribusiness, agricultural industry groups, and government to collectively improve health and safety in the sector. By involving businesses across the supply chain, Safer Farms recognizes that the entire industry benefits from increased safety.

Led by a board of five member directors, Safer Farms is guided by individuals with leadership roles in agriculture and/or safety. One such director is Lindy Nelson MNZM, a farmer, researcher, and founder of the Agri-Women's Development Trust and Amplifying Us. Lindy has a passion for engaging and empowering women in the agricultural sector and is now focused on reducing harm on farms.

Another director, Colin Glass, brings financial expertise to Safer Farms. As a qualified Fellow Chartered Accountant, he holds a Commerce Degree in Farm Management and has extensive experience in the dairy farming business. Safer Farms exists to reduce preventable injury and deaths in rural New Zealand.

They lead and inspire the agricultural sector to prioritize safety and provide resources to help farms manage risks effectively. Whether it's through planning and communication or making good calls in challenging situations, Safer Farms supports farmers in their commitment to creating safer environments
