SafeR Horses is an equine safety and behaviour service led by Dr Lesley Hawson, a veterinarian, horse owner and horse lover with a PhD in equitation science. Drawing on her studies with leading equine behaviour scientists, Dr Hawson helps horse owners reduce the risk of injury and illness, manage costs and make their time with horses more enjoyable. The service focuses on practical ways to support safer outcomes for both horses and people.

SafeR Horses offers solution-oriented equine behaviour consultations tailored to each horse, owner and individual circumstance. Options range from brief telephone consultations for specific problems to fuller consultations by Zoom, with in-person appointments available when location permits. For people unsure whether the service is the right fit, a tester consultation provides an opportunity to discuss key concerns and determine whether they can work together; Dr Hawson promises at least one practical idea to take away. The website also provides resources and information about the service, alongside ways to learn more about Dr Hawson and get in touch.
